$40 million Oz Lotto Jackpot Marks Australia’s Largest Ever Lottery Prize
WAYVILLE, South Australia (April 23, 2008) -- Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw will offer Australia’s largest ever Division One lottery prize of $40 million.
The record-breaking news comes as players Australia-wide were unable to match the seven winning numbers in last night’s $30 million Oz Lotto draw.
Oz Lotto re-wrote South Australian history in June 2007, when a couple from Adelaide’s southern suburbs won the State’s largest ever lottery prize of $25 million.
It is hoped that more local players strike it lucky in Tuesday’s $40 million draw.
Tickets for the record Oz Lotto draw are on sale now at more than 540 SA Lotteries agencies across South Australia.
SA Lotteries’ profits from Oz Lotto are distributed to State public hospitals for the benefit of all South Australians.
