Since opening our doors almost 30 years ago, the Lottery has remained committed to our mission of generating additional funding for education,” said Florida Lottery Secretary Tom Delacenserie.

Thanks to our outstanding players, retailers and staff, we have been able to achieve unprecedented sales records that directly benefit Florida’s students and schools.”

Nearly $167 Million in PA Lottery Scratch-Offs Prizes Won in May

MIDDLETOWN, Pennsylvania (June 5, 2017) -- Pennsylvania Lottery scratch-offs players claimed nearly $167 million in prizes during May, including two prizes of $3 million claimed by players in Northampton and York counties. Both of those wins were on the $3 Million Spectacular scratch-off game.

Other notable scratch-offs prizes claimed during May included a $1 million prize; seven prizes of $300,000; one $250,000 prize; and 17 prizes of $100,000.

Schafer Systems Inc.

Winner lists for all games are posted monthly in the Winners section of The lists include all winners of $1,000 or more, although many prizes below that threshold were won.

Current scratch-off games offer prizes ranging from a free ticket to $3 million. Scratch-offs winners claimed a record of more than $1.9 billion in prizes last fiscal year.

Before purchasing any game, players should review and understand the rules, prizes remaining and specific chances of winning found at The overall chances of winning any prize vary by game and are printed on the back of each scratch-off ticket. Overall chances are expressed across all tickets produced in a game and not by tickets sold per pack.

Chances of winning are not influenced by where a ticket is sold. Random distribution of tickets ensures the Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold. Scratch-offs prizes must be claimed within one year of a game's posted end-sale date.

About Us: The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery to direct all proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since ticket sales began in 1972, it has contributed nearly $27 billion to fund property tax and rent rebates, transportation, care services, prescription assistance, and local services including senior centers and meals.

The European Lotteries Congress: Eurojackpot Soon in Poland

WARSAW, Poland (June 7, 2017) -- Eurojackpot - a European lottery featuring EUR 10 m of guaranteed prize pool and the maximum jackpot of EUR 90 m - will arrive in Poland this September, as announced at the 9th European Lotteries Congress in Kraków. The Congress guests are discussing the challenges faced by the sector - all largely related to the current technological revolution.

From all over Europe, the Congress has attracted industry representatives that are affiliated with the European Lotteries Association. On the first day, a new president of this organisation was selected, with Hansjörg Höltkemeier appointed for his second term.

In his address, he stressed the fact that while the technological revolution we are witnessing has brought about many new opportunities for lottery aficionados, these are not always safe due to operators who infringe the law. In his view, the European lotteries have traditionally been guided by well-established values and that this is where their strongest point lies. "We should keep in mind that social responsibility is what's important to us," Höltkemeier said.

The Congress' motto is "New Directions". As argued by Olgierd Cieślik, President of Totalizator Sportowy: "Each day, we see more reasons for exploring new directions"; one of such directions for the lottery sector is the social media. "Customers dictate the rules - if we fail to live up to their expectations, we will lose them," stressed Cieślik.

The 9th Congress of European Lotteries in Kraków will end on 8 June. Its topics centre not only around new challenges for the sector, but also on how to responsibly organise and hold games of chance. The event is organised by Totalizator Sportowy, owner of the LOTTO brand in Poland.

GAMSTOP Announced as the Brand Name for UK National Online Self-Exclusion Scheme

LONDON & BRUSSELS (June 1, 2017) -- The Remote Gambling Association (“the RGA”) announced today that GAMSTOP would be the name of the national online self-exclusion scheme which it agreed to design and implement to meet the aims of the Gambling Commission’s Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice.

The Gambling (Advertising and Licensing) Act 2014 requires all remote gambling operators who wish to provide gambling facilities to the British market to be licensed by the Commission.

The Act provides the framework for a national online self-exclusion scheme to be established because every operator is now subject to the Commission’s Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice.

GAMSTOP will therefore enable UK consumers to exclude themselves via a single website process from all online gambling operators that are licensed by the Gambling Commission. The website will also set out other measures that are available to help people manage their gambling and will signpost specialist advice and support services for those who might benefit from it.

Fiona Palmer, RGA Director of Social Responsibility, speaking on behalf of GAMSTOP said ‘We are at a very exciting stage in the development of GAMSTOP.

With the branding now established and process design well advanced, the focus in the coming months will be on technology integration and industry communication.

We are therefore confident that we will deliver self-exclusion on the truly national scale needed to assist consumers who need this kind of help to manage their gambling.’

Speaking on behalf of the Gambling Commission, Paul Hope, Programme Director said ‘The ability for consumers to exclude themselves from all online gambling with a single request will be a powerful tool for those that need it. We welcome the work the RGA is doing to develop GAMSTOP and look forward to it becoming available.’

The RGA is a London & Brussels -based trade association whose members are all licensed for gambling purposes in Europe.

  • Further information about the RGA and a list of its members can all be found at
  • The aim is to have GAMSTOP fully implemented before the end of December 2017.

EquiLottery Continues Kentucky Momentum with Ellis Park Agreement

LOUISVILLE, KY (June 5, 2017) -- EquiLottery and Ellis Park have entered into a broadcast rights agreement that will allow races from the Henderson, Kentucky racetrack to be utilized in conjunction with EquiLottery’s lottery game based on the results of live horse racing. This agreement marks the second such arrangement with a Kentucky racetrack and comes on the heels of a recent endorsement of the product from the Kentucky Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA).

I was first approached about this product six years ago when it was in a very early development stage,” said Ellis Park Owner and President Ron Geary. “As someone who has had business startup success, it’s exciting when you get to watch another entrepreneur take a seedling of an idea and turn it into a real, workable product, especially in your home state. Ellis Park is proud to stand with Brad Cummings and the entire EquiLottery team and we look forward to watching this exciting opportunity for horse racing come to fruition. With this product, we see nothing but upside for the racing industry in Kentucky and beyond.

Ellis Park joins in-state racetrack Kentucky Downs along with Penn National’s Charles Town Races and Eldorado Resorts’ Mountaineer Park in West Virginia as early adopters of EquiLottery. As with other such agreements, Ellis Park will make their daily race video available for streaming through the EquiLottery mobile app in exchange for a broadcast rights fee. This fee will be split between the racetrack and purse funds.

It’s a real pleasure to be working with Ron and his team at Ellis Park,” said EquiLottery Founder and CEO Brad Cummings. “When starting a business in Kentucky, you quickly become aware of what Ron has done to help build successful businesses and create good-paying jobs in this state. So to have his backing as we build out the vision for EquiLottery is a great honor. Every day our momentum gets stronger and we get closer to delivering a product we believe will do great things for the sport of horse racing while being able to send more Kentucky students to Kentucky universities through a bevy of successful in-state scholarship programs.

Since its public announcement over the summer of 2014, EquiLottery has worked diligently to develop its lottery product based on the results of live horse racing. During that time, this innovative company has structured agreements with lottery industry leader IGT Global Solutions and tote system leader AmTote International to be able to deliver a cohesive lottery experience for state lotteries and their players. EquiLottery is also in development on its IOS and Android mobile app which will allow players features such as watching races live and on replay, scanning tickets and setting push notifications for upcoming races all from the convenience of their mobile devices.
