Under the terms of the lottery
system contract, the West Virginia Lottery will receive several components of
IGT's Aurora platform including Aurora Navigator back-office applications
for Lottery personnel that will help them better manage their business and
enhance productivity. The Lottery will also receive IGT's Aurora Performance
Intel solution, a comprehensive business intelligence and analytics tool that
provides actionable insights. IGT's Aurora Retailer Wizard solution offers a
secure website for West Virginia Lottery retailers to more effectively manage
their businesses, interact with the Lottery, and drive results. Aurora OnePlace
provides Lottery field sales personnel more effective tools for sales and
inventory management at retail locations.
The West Virginia Lottery will also
receive IGT's full function Altura Flex draw-based lottery terminal
offering a smaller footprint to optimize retail space, while continuing to
offer a highly configurable platform derived from the Altura GT1200. A new
reader for play slips is designed to reduce maintenance cycles and improve
throughput. A high-resolution wide-screen retailer display will enhance the
ease of use and productivity of retailers.

in-store signage allows for the transmission and management of West Virginia
Lottery information, advertisements, and promotions directly to players at the

2016-2017 - Loto-Québec Reports Higher Income and Exceeds
MONTRÉAL, Quebec, Canada
(June 16, 2017) -- Finance Minister Carlos Leitão submitted
Loto-Québec's 2016-2017 Annual Report to the National Assembly this
morning. The Corporation's total revenues reached $3.636 billion, which is
$75.3 million higher (+2.1%) higher compared to the previous fiscal year.
Loto-Québec paid a dividend of $1.206 billion, exceeding the target
announced by the government by $58.2 million.

directions focused on entertainment, efficiency and responsible

LOTTERIES: Higher revenues, more
- With sales of $1.828 billion, the lottery sector
reported an increase of $30.3 million (+1.7%) compared to the previous year,
despite the unusual fact that Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max offered fewer major
prizes during the period.
- 2016-2017 was marked by a record number of prizes
paid that were worth over $1 million: 104 prizes were remitted, creating 122

- Total revenues in the online gaming sector came to
$85.9 million (+$19.7 million, or 29.7%).
- The increase applies to casino games, lotteries and
sports betting. It is particularly significant on mobile devices.
- In 2016-2017, the number of Espacejeux.com members
increased by 26%.
- The Corporation reached its objective for recurrent
efficiency gains of $100 million set in 2014-2015, compared to real 2013-2014
- 2016-2017 operating expenses declined by $31.3
million (-3.1%)2 compared to 2013-2014 expenses.

Loto-Québec was awarded Level 4 Responsible Gaming Framework
certification, the highest international recognition for responsible gaming

New York Lottery turns 50 this weekend, celebrating a lasting legacy that has
generated more than $150 billion in revenue to help New Yorkers and established
one of the most recognizable brands in the country.
The New York Lottery celebrated its
50th anniversary today at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, featuring a live
televised drawing of the Midday NUMBERS and WIN 4 games hosted by Lottery
spokeswoman Yolanda Vega, along with additional promotions and events.
Over the past 50 years, the
New York Lottery has established itself as an intrinsic part of the Empire
States culture, said Gweneth Dean, Director of the

The New York State Constitution was
amended in 1966 establishing the New York Lottery with all net proceeds
applied exclusively to or in aid or support of education. At
the time, New Hampshire was the only other state to offer a public lottery. On
June 17, 1967, banks in New York City began selling $1 New York Lottery tickets
for a monthly raffle. For every million tickets sold, 240 winners were drawn to
share in $300,000 in prizes ranging from $150 to $100,000.
Since those early days, the New York

Lottery Sales Grow As Fiscal Year Nears End
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (June 16, 2017)
-- In todays meeting of the Kentucky Lottery Corporations board of
directors, it was announced that sales continue to surge in the final weeks of
Fiscal Year 2017. May turned out to be the third highest sales month in
Kentucky Lottery history, surpassed only by sales from March of this year and
January 2016 when the world-record Powerball jackpot was up for grabs.
For the month of May, sales were
$91.1 million. This is $6.8 million (8%) more than the same month last year,
and $3.1 million (3.5%) more than budget. Scratch-off sales showed a $5.5
million (11%) increase from May 2016 for a total of $56 million, and the
introduction of a new Multiplier feature for the Keno game saw its sales rise
24.8% ($1.5 million) to $7.6 million.
Sales through May were $914.1
million, which is $4.5 million (0.5%) less than the same period last year and
$14.3 million (1.5%) less than budget.
According to Vice President and
Corporate Controller Maggie Garrison, scratch-off tickets have been key to
sales growth. While Powerball sales are down 26.7% through the same
period last year, our Scratch-off products took off with the launch of our Big
Money ticket in April. Big Money, the first oversized ticket offered
by the KY Lottery, was ordered with a quantity that should have lasted 30
weeks. Instead, the $10 ticket sold out in less than three weeks.
In addition, Executive Vice
President & CFO Howard B. Kline reported year-to-date operating expenses
are $2.5 million (8.4%) less than budgeted.
The fact that were
only 0.5% behind last years sales when we saw nothing close to
2016s $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot, meaning sales for that game are now
off $23.8 million compared to last year is a great testament to our
team, said the KLCs President and CEO Tom Delacenserie.

shine a light on the stories of hope and perseverance across the state of Ohio.

has achieved his dreams, and will be asking fellow Ohioans to share their own
inspirational stories for opportunities to win in big and small ways.
Each week in July, the Ohio Lottery
will host giveaways on its social media channels, awarding $50 gift cards for
sharing stories of positivity using the hashtag #InspiredOH. During the month
of August, the Ohio Lottery will roll out additional rewards to those who share

Tabcorp Provides Updates on Tabcorp/Tatts Transaction and
Tribunal authorises proposed combination of Tabcorp and Tatts
SYDNEY, Australia (June 20, 2017) --
The Australian Competition Tribunal (Tribunal) has granted authorisation for
the proposed combination (Transaction) of Tabcorp Holdings Limited (Tabcorp)
and Tatts Group Limited (Tatts).
The Tribunal expects to publish the
reasons for its determination on Thursday 22 June 2017.
As part of the Tribunal
authorisation process, Tabcorp engaged with an extensive range of industry
participants and experts, including Australian racing codes, the business
community and government bodies.
Tabcorp's Chairman, Paula Dwyer,
"Tabcorp welcomes today's
decision by the Tribunal. It represents an important step towards creating a
worldclass, diversified gambling entertainment group that is expected to
deliver significant value for both sets of shareholders and material benefits
to other key stakeholders including Australian racing industries, business

together two great Australian businesses, well positioned to invest, innovate
and compete in a global gambling entertainment marketplace.

In granting its authorisation,
the Tribunal stated it is satisfied that the Transaction is likely to result in
substantial public benefits and that the public detriments identified by the
ACCC and the interveners are unlikely to either arise or are not of
The Tribunals authorisation is
conditional on Tabcorp divesting Odyssey Gaming Services (Odyssey). As
announced on 18 April 2017, Tabcorp has agreed to sell Odyssey to Australian
National Hotels Pty Limited, a subsidiary of Federal Group (subject to the
Transaction becoming effective). Tabcorp has given to the ACCC an undertaking
to divest Odyssey which the ACCC has said is acceptable to it. The ACCC has
also approved the proposed purchaser.
Following today's announcement by
the Tribunal, Tabcorp is pleased to provide an update on the Transaction.
Synergies and business
Tabcorp continues to expect the
Transaction to deliver at least $130m p.a. of EBITDA from synergies and
business improvements. These earnings are expected to be realised in the first
full year following completion of the integration of the businesses.
Approvals and indicative
Tabcorp is well advanced in securing
the regulatory, industry and government approvals necessary for the
implementation of the Scheme.
Tabcorp expects the Tatts Scheme
First Court Hearing to be scheduled for mid-July 2017, with the Scheme Booklet
to be dispatched by Tatts shortly thereafter. A report to Tatts shareholders by
an independent expert will accompany the Scheme Booklet.
It is expected that a meeting for
Tatts shareholders to consider the Scheme will be held in August 2017.
Implementation is expected to occur thereafter, subject to the receipt of the
FY17 trading update
Based on trading performance for the
11 months to 31 May 2017 and forecast results for June 2017, Tabcorp currently
expects to report FY17 group:
- revenue in the range of approximately $2,220m to
- EBITDA before significant items in the range of
approximately $500m to $510m;
- EBIT before significant items in the range of
approximately $320m to $330m; and
- NPAT before significant items in the range of
approximately $173m to $180m.
Total group revenue growth is
expected to be in the range of 1.4% to 2.3%.
Wagering performance includes the
impact of Luxbet (which is forecast to record an EBITDA loss of $8m and an EBIT
loss of $13m in FY17), a decline in Trackside and new arrangements with venues,
including the introduction of digital commissions. Tabcorp intends to undertake
a strategic review of the Luxbet business during FY18.
The core TAB business has continued
to perform well against its key performance metrics in the 11 months to May
2017, notwithstanding prolonged periods of wet weather across the eastern
- total TAB turnover growth of approximately 1.6%,
with digital turnover growth of 14.2%;
- Wagering and Media revenue growth of approximately
0.2% across all businesses, with growth of 1.4% excluding Luxbet and
- total racing revenue growth of 0.9% with fixed odds
racing growth of 21.3% continuing to offset the decline in totalisator
- total fixed odds revenue growth of 15.9%; and
- fixed odds yields for racing and sports have been
in line with the prior corresponding period.
Keno is forecast to report continued
growth in FY17, having achieved turnover growth of 3.5% and revenue growth of
1.6% on the pcp in the 11 months to 31 May 2017. This reflects continuing
growth in NSW, Victoria and ACT; partially offset by continued challenges in
Queensland. A range of new customer initiatives have recently been introduced,
including the expansion of jackpot pooling, enhanced Keno digital from ACT,
in-venue digital play in NSW and Keno Mega Millions in NSW and ACT.
Gaming Services is forecast to
record strong growth in FY17, enhanced by Tabcorp's acquisition of Intecq,
having achieved revenue growth of 31.5% (and 7.8% excluding Intecq) on the pcp
in the 11 months to 31 May 2017. Growth has been driven by the commencement of
a number of new venues in NSW, including Panthers Group from February 2017. The
integration of Intecq is on track, including the realisation of expected
Tabcorps operating expenses
for FY17 have increased, and are forecast to remain at approximately 23% of
revenue. This reflects a significant investment in resources particularly
across regulatory and risk, strategy, digital, technology and HR functions in
anticipation of implementing the combination with Tatts. This investment is
expected to reduce the risk associated with the integration, which will include
a thorough review of the cost bases of both companies.
The UK start-up business Sun Bets is
forecast to report a 2H17 EBITDA loss of $24m. Tabcorp is currently
implementing a range of initiatives which are expected to significantly improve
the performance of the business in FY18.
Tabcorp's FY17 full year result is
expected to be impacted by a number of significant items associated with
AUSTRAC / AFP of approximately $65m post tax, the proposed combination with
Tatts of approximately $34m post tax (excluding the impact of the Tatts cash
settled equity swap), the Intecq acquisition of approximately $6m post tax, Sun
Bets of approximately $46m post tax, Melbourne premises relocation of
approximately $10m post tax and any impairments that may be recognised in
relation to Luxbet or Sun Bets.
The Tabcorp Board expects to declare
a fully franked final dividend of 12.5 cents per share, taking the full year
FY17 dividend to 25 cents per share.

Malta Gaming Authority Publishes a Survey into the Consumption of Gaming
Services by Maltese Residents

MALTA (June 21, 2017) -- The Malta
Gaming Authority (MGA) has for the first time published a survey into the
consumption of gaming services by Maltese residents, including economic and
social considerations. The scientific survey was carried out between 2015 and
2016 and provides a fair assessment of gambling behaviours in Malta. It also
gives a clearer picture on the level of problem gambling in Malta.
The survey was announced and
published during a press conference held at Castille and addressed by
Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation
Silvio Schembri and MGA Executive Chairman Joseph Cuschieri.
The Parliamentary Secretary said
that this survey was needed in order to fully understand the effect of gambling
behaviour on the social life of the Maltese population, as well as
understanding the economic impact this has on their everyday life.
Whilst recognising the positive
effects of the iGaming industry on the Maltese economy, Silvio Schembri
stressed the importance of the government's role in devising policies to
safeguard this activity without impacting our society negatively. The
Parliamentary Secretary also mentioned the important work carried out by the
Responsible Gaming Foundation which launched a series of initiatives to help
people with gambling problems, such as the 1777 helpline and self-barring
forms. Silvio Schembri also thanked the Malta Gaming Authority for this
initiative, which will provide a scientific basis for policies aimed at helping
people who have gambling problems.
MGA Executive Chairman Joseph
Cuschieri highlighted the importance of this survey, "For the first time we
are publishing a scientific survey which clearly articulates the gambling
behaviours of the Maltese population. This should help all stakeholders to
shape policies based on scientific data rather than impressions or myths hence
a more informed debate about the economic and social effects of gambling in
Malta. The survey also gives size and scale of potential gambling addiction
problems in Malta".
Key highlights from the survey
- Gaming services have become an essential component
of household recreational activities. This entails a contribution to economic
activity, and needs to be managed in a way which does not impinge upon the
sustainability of lifestyles;
- The Maltese population is estimated to have spent
around 125 million in gaming services during 2015, equivalent to around
2.8% of total household consumption expenditure;
- National Lottery games are the most prevalent form
of gaming, closely followed by expenditure on gaming parlours and outlets;
- Around 195,300 persons are estimated to have spent
money on some form of gaming activity in 2015, which is close to 56% of the
population aged 18 years and over. The average weekly expenditure by these
persons stood at 12.30. Around 46% of the population engages in games
available for free;
- The persons who engage in paid gaming activities
are most likely those who are aged 45 and over, having an educational
attainment up to secondary level and not active in the labour market;
- In general, around 1% to 2% of the population
(which can vary between 2,000 and 4,000 persons) who acquire gaming services
for payment report some type of adverse effect between gaming activity and
lifestyle. The findings of this study indicate that problems associated with
gaming activities undertaken through regular channels are relatively contained.
This is in line with the trends in other EU jurisdictions;
- This implies that, more likely than not, more
extensive and serious problems associated with gambling would be emanating
primarily from illegal activities;
- NGOs involved in social issues in relation to
gambling emphasise the need for further resources to be dedicated to training
of professionals in the area of gambling addictions;
- In line with these considerations, responsible
gambling remains a top priority in guiding the MGA's regulatory ethos and
policy objectives. Furthermore, more action is planned to tackle illegal
gambling activities in Malta.
