Temporary Postponement of Inspection of Gaming Machines with Cash Prizes
ODENSE, Denmark — Due to the current situation in Denmark concerning COVID-19 (Corona virus), it will not be possible to perform inspections on gaming machines with cash prizes in gambling arcades and restaurants with alcohol license from March 13th, 2020.
This applies to gaming machines, top boxes and technical installations requiring inspection by an accredited test-house due to:
- the five-year time limit;
- rebuilding or updating;
- technical breakdown; and
- other reasons or incidents.
Gaming machines, top boxes and technical installations which are due for inspection after March 13th, 2020, must be reported directly to the Danish Gambling Authority using the contact form on the front page of the website of the Danish Gambling Authority, with the ID-number of the unit and the inspection date cited in the message box. If an inspection is due because of a technical breakdown, the contact form “Technical breakdown of gaming machines” found under the menu tab “Gaming machines” must be used.
If the Danish Gambling Authority becomes aware of gaming machines, top boxes or technical installations with overdue inspection requirements after March 13th, 2020, which has not been reported to the Danish Gambling Authority, the responsibility will be assessed.
