SEK 5 million to be distributed – the application for research funding has opened
VISBY, Sweden — It is now possible to apply for funding from Svenska Spel’s independent research council for research on gambling addiction and preventive measures against gambling problems. A total of SEK 5 million is allocated and the application period extends through April 30, 2020.
In 2010, Svenska Spel established an independent research council whose task is to increase knowledge and insight about gambling problems and how to best prevent them. Each year, the Research Council awards SEK 5 million.

- Study the prevalence of gambling addiction with other psychiatric diagnoses (co-morbidity)
- Gaming responsibilities, such as marketing, etc.
- Risk and protective factors
