Sports Bet Montana Creeps to a Million in Payout

HELENA, Montana (October 28, 2021) — Sports Bet Montana paid out just over $989,000 to Montana bettors while retailers earned more than $59,000 in commission.

October is coming to a close with football still leading in the polls with a 59 percent handle. Basketball has overtaken baseball with a 15 percent handle, the latter settling on 12 percent.

Sports Bet Montana has paid out $989,689 in the last week and granted retailers $59,400 in commission.

Sports Bet Montana, powered by the Montana Lottery, was launched after legislation passed in 2019 became law.

Sports Bet was designed to benefit Montana players, Montana businesses and Montana citizens.

The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $694 million in prizes and returned approximately $289 million to the State of Montana and $78 million in retailer commissions.

Meanwhile, the Montana Lottery has awarded $152,944 since Oct. 20 – an average of more than $21,000 every day.
