Football Continues to Dominate Sports Bet Montana
HELENA, Montana (December 15, 2021) — Sports Bet Montana paid out just over $951,500 to Montana bettors in the last week while retailers earned more than $58,000 in commission.
Since the start of the season football has taken first place in total bets wagered time and time again, and for the week ending Dec. 13 has a 56 percent of handle. Basketball comes in second with a 30 percent of handle and special bets lands in third.
Bettors pocketed $951,584 in the last week while retailers saw over $58,500 in commission.
Sports Bet Montana, powered by the Montana Lottery, was launched after legislation passed in 2019 became law. Sports Bet was designed to benefit Montana players, Montana businesses and Montana citizens.
The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $694 million in prizes and returned approximately $289 million to the State of Montana and $78 million in retailer commissions.
