Sports Bet Montana Pays Out Just Shy of $770,000

HELENA, Monta (March 30, 2022) — Sports Bet Montana paid out just over $769,700 to Montana bettors in the last week while retailers earned more than $50,000 in commission.

Basketball comes in first with an 89 percent handle for the week ending March 28.

Both hockey and special bets follow behind with a 3 percent handle.

MMA, golf, and tennis each finish with 1 percent of all total bets wagered. Bettors pocketed $769,765 in the last week while retailers saw over $50,900 in commission.

Sports Bet Montana, powered by the Montana Lottery, was launched after legislation passed in 2019 became law.

Sports Bet was designed to benefit Montana players, Montana businesses and Montana citizens. The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
