Sports Bet Montana Nearly Pays Half A Million In Prizes!

HELENA, Montana (August 3, 2022) — Sports Bet Montana paid out over $494,200 to Montana bettors in the last week while retailers earned more than $17,000 in commission.

Baseball jumps to 84 percent handle for the week ending August 1. MMA takes second place with a 6 percent handle, soccer following behind with a 3 percent handle. Golf and tennis each make up 2 percent of total bets wagered for the week.

Bettors pocketed $494,284 in the last week while retailers saw over $17,200 in commissions.

Sports Bet Montana, powered by the Montana Lottery, was launched after legislation passed in 2019 became law. Sports Bet was designed to benefit Montana players, Montana businesses, and Montana citizens.

The Montana Lottery was created by a citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
