Sports Bet Montana Paid Out Over $673K in a Single Week

HELENA, Montana (August 31, 2022) — Sports Bet Montana paid out over $673,000 to Montana bettors in the last week while retailers earned more than $23,000 in commission.

Baseball took a slight dip for the week ending Aug. 29, totaling 71 percent of total bets wagered. Football increased to a 16 percent handle, and soccer took third place with a 4 percent handle.

Bettors pocketed $673,709 in the last week while retailers saw over $23,600 in commissions.

Sports Bet Montana, powered by the Montana Lottery, was launched after legislation passed in 2019 became law. Sports Bet was designed to benefit Montana players, Montana businesses and Montana citizens.

The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
