Sports Bet Montana Paid Out Over $1m to Bettors in the Last Week- with Football on Top with a 65% Handle

HELENA, Montana (September 21, 2022) — Sports Bet Montana paid out over $1,000,000 to Montana bettors in the last week while retailers earned more than $36,000 in commission.

Football continues strong with a 65 percent handle for the week ending September 19. Baseball falls behind with 26 percent of total bets wagered. Soccer finishes with a three (3%)  percent handle, and tennis wraps up the week with a two (2%) percent handle along with special bets.

Bettors pocketed $1,016,185 in the last week while retailers saw over $36,200 in commissions.

Sports Bet Montana, powered by the Montana Lottery, was launched after legislation passed in 2019 became law. Sports Bet was designed to benefit Montana players, Montana businesses and Montana citizens.

The Montana Lottery was created by a citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
