Wisconsin Lottery Launches Fast Play
First Progressive Jackpot winning ticket sold in Manitowoc
MADISON, Wis. (April 24, 2023) – On Sunday, April 23, 2023, the Wisconsin Lottery launched Fast Play, a new group of lotto games that combine instant wins with a growing, Progressive Jackpot. Fast Play tickets are printed from Lottery terminals or purchased from Lottery vending machines. The games can be played immediately for a chance to win prizes immediately without scratching or waiting on draw results.
Fast Play offers a family of four multiplier games — 5X ($1), 10X ($2), 20X ($5) and 50X ($10) — as well as Cash Stash ($2), and Platinum Payout ($10). All six games have individual prizes, and together, they contribute to ONE Progressive Jackpot that starts at $10,000 and grows with ticket sales until someone wins it.
Unlike other lotto games, the Fast Play Progressive Jackpot can be won as soon as a ticket is purchased. The amount of the Jackpot won depends on the ticket price purchased by the player – $1 tickets win 10% of the jackpot, $2 tickets win 20%, $5 tickets win 50%, and $10 tickets win 100%. The Wisconsin Lottery Fast Play jackpot is only winnable in Wisconsin and is not shared with other states. Players can also confirm if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery’s new mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.
It didn’t take long for the first-ever Fast Play jackpot to be won. Calumet BP on 2914 Calumet Dr. in Manitowoc sold a jackpot-winning ticket on Sunday. The winning ticket was a $1 5X game, resulting in a $1,000 jackpot (10% of the $10,000 Progressive Jackpot at the time).
Retailers can redeem tickets winning up to $599 or the amount allowed by the retailer’s normal cashing practices (not to exceed $599). Prizes up to $599 can also be claimed by mail or at the Lottery’s Madison or Milwaukee offices. Prizes of $600 to $199,999 can only be claimed at the Madison or Milwaukee offices in person or by mail. Winning Lottery tickets of $200,000 or more must be redeemed in person at the Madison Lottery office.
The odds of winning the Fast Play Progressive Jackpot are 1 in 240,000. For more information about Fast Play games, please visit wilottery.com/games/fast-play.
