Gaming Authority (Ksa) Announces Date(s) for the Responsible Gaming Policy Rules Change to Take Effect
THE HAGUE, Netherlands (April 30, 2024) — At the beginning of this month, the Gaming Authority (Ksa) announced that the new Responsible Gaming Policy Rules will be published in June.
Today, the Ksa announces the two definitive dates on which the Policy Rules will come into effect for providers. Most of the policy rules come into effect immediately on June 3, 2024. The second entry into force date is October 1, 2024.
Final dates for entry into force
Most of the policy rules come into effect immediately: the amended policy rules will be published in the Government Gazette on Monday 3 June 2024.
The Ksa makes an exception for Article 3.1.12, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh paragraph, and Article 3.1.13, second paragraph, of the consultation version of the Responsible Gaming Policy Rules. This involves analyzing and recording playing behavior and interventions in playing behavior.
These will come into effect on October 1, 2024. The articles may change slightly in response to the consultation responses. The Ksa thus gives providers time to implement any necessary changes in the field of ICT, policy and personnel.
