Sports Bet Montana Rewards Players, Businesses

HELENA, Montana (June 22, 2024) – The Montana Lottery today released sports wagering data for the week ending June 22:

• Handle $926,257
• Payout: $757,742
• Gross Gaming Revenue: $168,515
• Sales Agent Commissions: $27,788

The top three sports by percent of the total handle were:

• Baseball (53.7%)
• Basketball (18.6%)
• Ice Hockey (8.8%)

The Montana Lottery’s sports wagering product, Sports Bet Montana, was launched after legislation passed in 2019 became law.

The Montana Lottery was created by a citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $953 million in prizes and returned approximately $342 million to the State of Montana and $97 million in sales agent commissions. To access an archive of previous winners, click here.
