Sports Bet Montana Sees $729K+ Handle and $553K+ Payout

Baseball dominates with 67.8% of total handle

HELENA – The Montana Lottery today released sports wagering data for the week ending July 6:

• Handle $729,224
• Payout: $553,531
• Gross Gaming Revenue: $175,692
• Sales Agent Commissions: $21,877

The top three sports by percent of the total handle were:

• Baseball (67.8%)
• Soccer (15.8%)
• Basketball (6.9%

The Montana Lottery’s sports wagering product, Sports Bet Montana, was launched after legislation passed in 2019 became law.

The Montana Lottery was created by a citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $953 million in prizes and returned approximately $342 million to the State of Montana and $97 million in sales agent commissions. To access an archive of previous winners, click here.
