FDJ is the historic and unique operator of the lottery in France, 2 nd lottery in Europe and 4 th global lottery . It is also the benchmark player in sports betting in France ** The French gambling market represents around 10 billion euros *** . With its emblematic brands (Loto®, EuroMillions, Cash, Amigo, Mission Patrimoine, Banco, Astro, Parions Sport…), FDJ is the national champion with more than 50% of market share ****. FDJ has 25 million players, or about one in two French people over the age of 18, to whom it offers a fun and general offer, constantly renewed and 100% responsible, of more than 85 games.

FDJ carries out more than 95% of its activity as a monopoly (lottery on the one hand and sports betting at points of sale on the other). This monopoly was recently reinforced for 25 years by the Pacte law.

The Group also operates activities open to competition, mainly online sports betting . It also develops three adjacent activities: services for foreign lottery or sports betting operators via its subsidiary FDJ Gaming Solutions , payment and point-of-sale services (eg collection of taxes and collection of fines from summer 2020) and entertainment (e.g. video game competitions).

In 2019, FDJ successfully completed its initial public offering . The Group’s ambition is to strengthen its position as the leading gambling operator in France, and to become a benchmark international player in the games and services sector.

An innovation strategy and a new societal challenge

2010 is the opening up to competition and regulation of the online betting and games of chance sector which concerns sports betting, horse racing betting and poker games. After the launch of Cote & Match, the first side bet game launched in 2003, sports betting is innovating with ParionsSport and the ParionsWeb site . In 2015, FDJ® launched its strategic project FDJ2020 which aims to support the digitization of the company, from products to services via the network, to enter the digital era .

In 2018 , FDJ extended its redistribution model to the general interest by supporting a new major national cause: the restoration of French heritage in danger, with the creation of the “Mission Patrimoine” games .

On 21 November 2019, as part of its privatization, the French Games (FDJ), 1 st operator of gambling and chance in France, announced  the great success of its IPO on the regulated market ‘Euronext in Paris .
