Nederlandse Loterij Appoints Two New Supervisory Directors
Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Alexander Pechtold: “We are pleased with the reinforcement of Ada and Steven in our Supervisory Board. Their experience and expertise will be very valuable. Ada van der Veer was chairman of the board at Staalbankiers, shaped the banking business as a member of the Executive Board of Achmea and has also held management positions at KPN and Currence. Ada is now, among other things, chairman of the Supervisory Board at Arcadis Netherlands and chairman of the Supervisory Board at Data Privacy Foundation. Previously she was chair of the Monitoring Committee Accountancy. Steven Martina has been CEO at The Greenery since 2016. Before becoming CEO, he held various commercial and management positions at The Greenery. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Europool Group.
As of January 1, 2023, the Supervisory Board of Nederlandse Loterij consists of Frida van Maagdenberg, Annelies van Zutphen, Steven Marina, Ada van der Veer, and chairman Alexander Pechtold.
Shareholders of the Dutch Lottery
The Dutch Lottery has 3 shareholders: the Ministry of Finance sports umbrella organization NOC*NSF and Stichting Aanwending Loterijgelden Nederland, which unites 18 charities in the field of health, exercise, and well-being. Every year, the Dutch Lottery gives almost its entire result to its shareholders. For the year 2021, this involved an amount of 188 million euros. On May 15, 2023, the Dutch Lottery will announce its payment for 2022.
