Sincelejo City Hall Joined the Pacts for Legality with Coljuegos

Transfers for health provided through the exploitation rights of national games of luck and chance in the municipality of Sincelejo amounted to 3,723 million pesos so far in 2022, of which 2,495 million pesos were allocated to ADRES, 831 million pesos direct for the region and 396 million for Fonpet.
Bogota, Colombia (December 28, 2022) — Coljuegos and the Sincelejo Mayor’s Office signed the Pact for Legality in games of luck and chance this Thursday, December 16, 2022, as a sign of the commitment between the territorial entity and the regulator with the actions that must be carried out in favor of the fight against illegality in that sector. It must be remembered that the regulator has been signing these agreements in order to promote coordinated work between operators, local authorities, and territorial entities to raise awareness among citizens of the importance of playing only in establishments and Internet portals authorized by Coljuegos.
According to Coljuegos, the health transfers provided through the exploitation rights of national games of luck and chance in the municipality of Sincelejo amounted to 3,723 million pesos so far in 2022, of which 2,495 million pesos were allocated for ADRES, 831 million pesos directly for the region and 396 million for Fonpet.
The Pact for Legality with the Mayor of Sincelejo was attended by the mayor of the city, Andrés Gómez Martínez, the Vice President of Organizational Development of Coljuegos, Liliana Cardona Chagüí, the Secretary of the Municipal Government, Mario Yeneris, as well as gambling businessmen and the chance of this region of the country.
At the event, the Mayor of Sincelejo reiterated his administration’s commitment to educational actions, awareness raising, and support for inspection and control in the fight against illegality in games of luck and chance in that city. “We are aware of the importance of this industry for public finances and for the financing of public health, which is why, from this Mayor’s Office, we are fully committed to working jointly with Coljuegos in the fight against illegality,” he said. the local president.
From Coljuegos, the vice president of Organizational Development of Coljuegos, Liliana Cardona Chagüi, recognized the municipal administration of Sincelejo for joining the Pact for Legality in games of luck and chance and recalled that for the National Government it is a priority to work the hand of territorial entities in the consolidation of this industry as a legal and responsible entertainment activity. “This pact is not simply an agreement that remains on paper, but rather an evidence of the commitment that territorial entities have in the fight against the illegality of this sector, which is so sensitive to the well-being of our regions,” she stressed.

Actions against illegality in Sincelejo
In the city of Sincelejo, Coljuegos has managed to remove 55 gambling elements of luck and chance that were operating illegally. This, if it were legal, monetizing it, would correspond to about $795 million pesos for exploitation rights that the department has stopped receiving, plus VAT, which is estimated at $340 million pesos.
From Coljuegos an invitation is made to all citizens to bet only in establishments or on Internet portals authorized by the entity and that can be consulted at www.coljuegos.gov.co.
