Sports Bet Montana Rewards Players, Businesses: Week Ending February 25

HELENA, Montana (February 27, 2023) – The Montana Lottery today released sports wagering data for the week ending February, 25:

• Handle: $920,261
• Payout: $758,434
• Gross Gaming Revenue: $161,827
• Sales Agent Commissions: $27,600

The top three sports by per cent of the total handle were:

• Basketball (71%)
• Hockey (14%)
• Soccer (5%)

The Montana Lottery was created by a citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
