Sports Bet Montana Rewards Players, Businesses: Week Ending March 25, 2023

HELENA, Montana (March 27, 2023) – The Montana Lottery today released sports wagering data for the week ending March 25:

  • Handle: $1,325,533
  • Payout: $1,104,111
  • Gross Gaming Revenue: $221,422
  • Sales Agent Commissions: $39,800

The top three sports by percent of total handle were:

  • Basketball (82%)
  • Hockey (9%)
  • Special Bets (2%)

The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
