Slots MICS #196 (V8)/#191 (V9) Variation

(May 25, 2023) — As of March 1, 2018, all Group I licensees were required to be in compliance with Version 8 of the Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS). By June 1, 2023, all Group I licensees are required to be in compliance with Version 9 of the MICS. Slot MICS #196 (V8)/#191(V9) requires a quarterly inventory of sensitive slot keys, including the 2341 keys, to be performed. This inventory must then be reconciled to the records of keys made, issued, and destroyed.

The Board is granting a variation to exclude the 2341 keys from the sensitive slot keys when performing the inventory requirements of this.

Please be advised that the Board retains the discretion to revoke and/or modify this MICS variation approval for a good cause.
