HELENA, Montana (August 14, 2023) – The Montana Lottery today released sports wagering data for the week ending August 12:

• Handle: $641,764
• Payout: $534,738
• Gross Gaming Revenue: $107,026
• Sales Agent Commissions: $19,300

The top three sports by percent of total handle were:

• Baseball (72%)
• Football (9%)
• Soccer (7%)

The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
