Sports Bet Montana Unveils Exciting Week Ending Data

HELENA, Montana (August 7, 2023) – The Montana Lottery today released sports wagering data for the week ending August 5:

  • Handle: $579,853
  • Payout: $516,596
  • Gross Gaming Revenue: $63,257
  • Sales Agent Commissions: $17,400

The top three sports by percent of total handle were:

  • Baseball (73%)
  • Tennis (7%)
  • Soccer (5%)

The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
