Texas Lottery and Houston Texans Team Up For The 15th Year On New Scratch Ticket Game & Second-Chance Drawings

AUSTIN – As the anticipation for football season builds, the Texas Lottery and the Houston Texans are collaborating for the 15^th consecutive year on the Houston Texans scratch ticket game and promotional second-chance drawings. The latest version of the $5 game for the 2023 season launched on Monday, Aug. 14 and is available at all Texas Lottery^® retailers where scratch ticket games are sold.

The latest Houston Texans scratch ticket game offers more than $18.6 million in total cash prizes, including four top prizes of $100,000 and 865 non-cash second-chance prizes. Overall odds of winning an instant-win cash prize are one in 3.79, including break-even prizes.

Since the first Houston Texans scratch ticket in 2009, all annual versions of the game have combined to generate more than $267 million in sales, with $58.6 million of that total being transferred to the Foundation School Fund, which supports Texas public education. During that time, more than $182.7 million in prizes from the game has been awarded to winners and more than $13.3 million in commissions has been transferred to retailers around the state.

Players can enter non-winning Houston Texans scratch tickets into any of the five promotional second-chance drawings to be held throughout the run of the game for the chance to win experiential prizes, including a Private Plane Away Game Trip, Luxury Suite & On-Field Contest Experience, Houston Texans Season Tickets or Texans Merchandise Prize Pack. Before entering non-winning tickets into the drawings, Texas Lottery players must register or already be registered with the Texas Lottery Luck Zone.
