Colorado Lottery is Adding a Monday Draw to Colorado Lotto+ for More Chances to Win and Higher Jackpots

Pueblo, Colorado (September 25, 2023) – The Colorado Lottery has added Monday as a third weekly Colorado Lotto+ draw day, in addition to Wednesday and Saturday. Starting tonight, for the first time ever, Colorado Lotto+ will begin a Monday jackpot draw.

Increasing the number of drawings from two to three nights a week is expected to produce larger jackpots while also increasing the number of cash prizes and jackpots awarded on an annual basis. The Lottery’s decision to add a third draw follows industry best practices, along with both Powerball and Mega Millions, which have added a third drawing over the past few years.

“By adding a third draw day for our own home state jackpot game, we are giving players what they have been asking for,” said Tom Seaver, director of the Colorado Lottery, “which is the opportunity to win more prizes. As we increase revenue, in a responsible way, we are able to help fund even more important projects that support parks, trails, recreation, conservation, wildlife, and schools in our growing state.”

The new draw will follow the same guidelines. Players will choose six out of 40 numbers or choose Colorado Lotto+ Quick Pick. Players must be 18 to play the Lottery, and tickets cost $2. Each ticket will continue to include a variable multiplier (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X) and have the option to choose Plus for an extra $1 and get a second draw, which pays $250,000.
