Gambling Companies with a Swedish License Had a Turnover of SEK 6.7 Billion During 2Q
Strängnäs, Sweden (September 8, 2023) — Gaming companies with a Swedish license had a total turnover of SEK 6.7 billion (players’ stakes minus paid winnings) in current prices during the second quarter of 2023. This is a decrease of just over 1 percent compared to the same period last year. The figures are preliminary.
At the end of quarter 2, roughly 95,000 people were banned from gambling via Spelpaus.se. This is an increase of 1.4 percent compared to the previous quarter.
