Package Delivery Services RFP Issued by Idaho Lottery
BOISE, Idaho (September 23, 2023) – The Idaho Lottery has formally issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit bids from responsible and experienced package delivery companies interested in providing these services between the Idaho Lottery and their approximately 1,200 retail locations statewide. The Idaho Lottery offers products in 165 cities and towns in the Gem State. The contract is expected to last five years beginning on December 22, 2023 and may be extended at the option of the Lottery twice, for two-years each time.
“As an agency of the State of Idaho, the Idaho Lottery responsibly examines the way we conduct business. The Lottery is committed to transparency as a good government practice in all that we do, particularly regarding our contracted services with private-sector businesses,” said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. “With a contract of this significance and magnitude, we believe it’s important to complete due diligence with the opportunities this contract presents.”
Qualified package delivery respondents to the RFP have until 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on Friday, October 20, 2023 to provide the Idaho Lottery with written proposal submissions. A copy of the Package Delivery RFP may be downloaded from the Idaho Lottery’s website at www.idaholottery.com/pages/rfp.
The Idaho Lottery was created in 1989 and during its 34-year history, the Idaho Lottery has sourced its delivery services from qualified vendors operating in Idaho.
“The delivery contract for Scratch tickets is another example of how the Idaho Lottery creates economic opportunity for businesses operating in the Gem State,” added Anderson. “It’s another way we provide value to Idahoans beyond our Do Good programs, dividends for our beneficiaries, Idaho Public Schools and the Permanent Building Fund, and the commissions earned by our brick and mortar retailers for their customer service to lottery players.”
