Sports Bet Montana Releases Sports Wagering Data for the Week Ending Dec. 26

HELENA, Montana October 2, 2023) – The Montana Lottery today released sports wagering data for the week ending Dec. 26:

• Handle: $1,455,858
• Payout: $1,269,888
• Gross Gaming Revenue: $185,970
• Sales Agent Commissions: $43.7K

The top three sports by percent of total handle were:

• Football (54%)
• Basketball (38%)
• Hockey (3%)

The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $853 million in prizes and returned approximately $320 million to the State of Montana and $90 million in sales agent commissions.
