DGOJ Published the Lists the Proposed Entities for Carrying Out Research Activities on Gambling Disorders 2023
MADRID, Spain (November 2, 2023) — The definitive provisional Resolution listing the applicant entities for which the granting of the subsidy for the development of research activities related to the prevention of gambling disorders has been published today on the electronic headquarters of the General Directorate of Gambling Regulation. game, with the effects derived from said disorders or the risks associated with this activity, corresponding to the year 2023.
The procedure began through a call from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs on April 13, 2023, to which a total of 37 projects from universities, health institutions, R&D centers, or non-profit entities were submitted.
Once the scientific projects have been evaluated by the Evaluation Commission based on the evaluation reports of the State Research Agency, a total of 26 projects have been considered susceptible to receiving financing for a total amount of €1,319,249.21.
These grants are aimed at carrying out research studies on disorders derived from gambling activity, with the prevention of the effects derived from said disorders or the risks associated with gambling. Its concession is made on a competitive basis and the execution period of the beneficiary projects will be extended until June 30, 2024.
