Tonje Sagstuen Takes Over the Helm of Norsk Tipping

The board of Norsk Tipping AS has appointed Tonje Sagstuen as the new managing director of Norsk Tipping.

 

Thor Gjermund Eriksen named CEO of Norsk Tipping

NORWAY (November 27, 2023) – Tonje Sagstuen has been part of Norsk Tipping’s senior management group since 2014, and she has been deputy CEO for the past five years.

She was director of the department Responsibility, society and communication until she was appointed as managing director from 1 September this year after Thor Gjermund Eriksen.

“Today I am pleased to be able to present Tonje Sagstuen as the new managing director of Norsk Tipping. With her, Norsk Tipping gets a skilled and experienced manager who knows the company and its employees very well,” says chairman Sylvia Brustad.

“The board has appreciated the work Sagstuen has done as acting managing director, and is pleased that she has accepted the position on a permanent basis. We are convinced that Sagstuen is the right person to lead Norsk Tipping going forward,” says Brustad.

Humble for the responsibility

“I am grateful for the trust the board shows in me, and humbled by the responsibility I have been given. Norsk Tipping is a large company that plays an important role for the whole of Norway, and I look forward to leading the work on our important social mission further,” says Tonje Sagstuen.

Tonje Sagstuen is a trained assistant professor and has a master’s degree in multimedia management from BI. She came to Norsk Tipping from her job as responsible editor at Oppland Arbeiderblad. Sagstuen is also known for its background in sports with its 217 matches for the Norwegian national team in handball.
