De Kansspelautoriteit to Carry Out Inspection of Slot Machine Arcades
THE HAGUE, Netherlands (December, 2023) — De Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa), (the Dutch Gaming Authority) will carry out inspections at slot machine arcades throughout the country from mid-December. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of the duty of care.
Since April 1, 2021, the legal duty of care for amusement arcades has been further expanded. This means that they are obliged to prevent and limit gambling addiction as much as possible. Ksa supervisors will carry out checks on, among other things, compliance with the requirements of addiction prevention.
After the audit period, the Ksa will publish a news item with the findings and, where necessary, adjust the guidance on the Ksa website.
