Memorandum Of Understanding Between The Swedish Gambling Authority And The International Betting Integrity Assoication
Strängnäs, Sweden (January 16, 2024) — Spelinspektionen (the Swedish Gambling Authority) and the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to combat match-fixing.
IBIA is a non-profit organization whose members consist of several of the world’s largest gaming operators. Together, they monitor the betting market to counter match-fixing and corruption. IBIA also exchanges information with leading sporting bodies including FIFA, UEFA, ITIA and IOC and many gaming authorities.
The memorandum of understanding with IBIA will strengthen the Swedish Gambling Authority’s and national work against match-fixing.
