Now, the Prosecutor’s Office of the National Court, far from requesting the file, considers that this instance is competent to hear the reported facts and proposes to the judge that, as a means of proof, he asks the State Lottery and Betting Society of the State (SELAE) report on “the reported incident”. It also wants SELAE to report on “whether there is a protocol for such cases and whether it was applied”, as well as to send the entire recording of the draw.
At the time, SELAE issued an explanatory statement in which it explained that “one of the circumstances foreseen in the process of introducing the balls into the drums is that some of them may bounce outwards . ” “In that case – the note stated – the established protocol indicates that the operator responsible for introducing the balls into the drum must proceed to manually introduce them into it.”
