Macau Casino Revenue Hits New Post-Covid Record of MOP19.5 Billion in March

MACAU, SAR (April 1, 2024) — Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) reached a new post-COVID record of MOP19.5 billion (USD2.4 billion) slightly higher than the previous National Day month (October 2023) high.

According to the Macau News Agency (MNA) the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau reported the March result of MOP19.503 billion is up 53.1 per cent year-on-year, bringing the year-to-date total to MOP57.3 billion, up 65.5 per cent compared to the previous year.

The March GGR is even slightly higher than last October’s record of MOP19.501 billion, with the result also seemingly beating a J.P. Morgan estimate.

According MNA in the latest government budget for 2024, Macau authorities have predicted that the casino industry could generate as much as MOP216 billion in casino revenue that year.
