Nebraska Lottery to Join Lotto America® Game

The multi-state game offers a rolling jackpot that starts at $2 million.

Lincoln, NE – April 19, 2024 – Starting in May, Nebraska Lottery players will be able to play Lotto America®, a multi-state Lotto game offered by 13 lotteries across the United States.

Lotto America is a $1 Lotto game with a jackpot that starts at $2 million and grows each time it is not won. Tickets will go on sale at retailers across Nebraska on May 19.

“We are excited to add Lotto America to our product lineup,” said Brian Rockey, Nebraska Lottery Director. “Many players have asked us to offer Lotto America in the past, and the game fits in well with our existing draw games. As with all Nebraska Lottery games a portion of every ticket sold goes to support good causes across Nebraska.”

Proceeds from the sale of Lottery tickets benefit the environment, education, the Nebraska State Fair, and problem gamblers assistance. Over $965 million has been raised for the Nebraska Lottery’s beneficiary funds since the Lottery began in 1993.

Each Lotto America play costs $1. Players select five white ball numbers from 1 to 52 and one Star Ball® number from 1 to 10. To win the jackpot prize, players must match all six winning numbers. The second prize of $20,000 can be won by matching all five white ball numbers. Other cash prizes range from $1,000 to $2.

The odds of winning the Lotto America jackpot are 1 in 25,989,600. The jackpot can be paid as an annuity with 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or one lump sum payment. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 9.63.

A prize multiplier option called the All Star Bonus® is available for an additional $1 per play. The All Star Bonus can multiply all prize levels except the jackpot by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times. More information is available at powerball.com/lotto-america.

Lotto America drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday after 9:15 p.m. CT. Winning numbers will be available at the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com, on the Nebraska Lottery mobile app and on the Nebraska Lottery Player’s Hotline at 800-224-LUCK (402-471-6139 in Lincoln).
