Florida Lottery Announces Monumental $214 Million Powerball® Win in Miami Shores

TALLAHASSEE (May 27, 2024) – Miami Shores is buzzing with excitement after a lucky POWERBALL^® player won $214 million in the May 6 drawing! The winning ticket was purchased at Publix, located at 9050 Biscayne Boulevard. The winning numbers for the May 6, 2024, POWERBALL drawing were: 7–23–24–56–60, and the PB number was 25. This jackpot series contributed an impressive $13.5 million to the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).

The lucky POWERBALL jackpot winner, whose identity remains a mystery, has the option of receiving their winnings in 30 annual installments or as a one-time, lump-sum cash option of approximately $100.1 million. The retailer will receive a $100,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The next POWERBALL drawing will be held Wednesday, May 8, at 10:59 p.m., ET, with an estimated $20 million jackpot.
