Renewal of ALEA Authorities: the IPJYC of Mendoza Was Elected to the Presidency of the Association

Córdoba – Argentina (May 17, 2024) — The 73rd Ordinary Assembly of the Board of Legal Representatives of ALEA, organized together with the Gambling Regulatory Entity of the province of Salta, ended on Wednesday, May 15, in the city of Salta.

With the participation of 23 jurisdictions, as planned, the Assembly renewed the positions of the Association’s Board of Directors.

The Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos (IPJYC) of Mendoza, chaired by Dr. Ida López, was elected President of ALEA. Ida López will be the first woman to hold the position in the Association’s almost 54-year history.

Board of Directors biennium 2024-2025:

President: Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos of Mendoza, represented by its President, Dr. Ida López.

Vice President: Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos of the Province of Buenos Aires, represented by its President Dr. Gonzalo Atanasof.

1st Vice President: Social Assistance Fund of the Province of Santa Fe, represented by its Vice President Daniel Di Lena.

2nd Vice President: Institute of Social Assistance of Chubut, President Luis María Aguirre.

Secretary: Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires SE, President Dr. Jesús Mariano Acevedo.

Deputy Secretary: Corrientes Lottery and Casino Institute, Controller Dr. Javier Bee Selllares.

Treasurer:  Institute of Financial Aid to Social Action of Entre Ríos, President CP. Diego Martínez Dome.

Collegiate Audit Office:

Social and Financial Fund of the Province of San Luis, President CP. María Eugenia Sosa Herrera.

Prevention of illegal gambling

During the 73rd Ordinary Assembly in Salta, the issues included in the work agenda were addressed, which focused on the concern of all members about the advance of online games on illegal platforms and the harm they cause to minors. age.

In this regard, the status of online gaming in our country was analyzed and it was decided to form a joint working group with national organizations and create an online gaming observatory, in order to carry out permanent monitoring of the problem.

In another order of institutional issues, administrative and internal matters were addressed that included the General Balance Sheet for the Fiscal Year 2023 and the 2024 Budget.

Once this important federal meeting has concluded, which marked substantial progress in planning activities, it is timely to thank the ENREJA authorities and their entire team for receiving the #loteríasargentinas and the entire ALEA community in their province.
