During the first quarter of 2024, permanent chance bets transferred $112,727 million in VAT.

Bogotá DC, Colombia (May 2, 2024) — During the first quarter of 2024, lottery, chance and Raspa & Listo games transferred $147,041 million to subsidize the health of less fortunate Colombians. These resources represent an increase of 8% compared to the transfers made in the same period of 2023.

“This significant increase in transferred resources is due to the joint work carried out by both the operators and the National Council of Games of Luck and Chance. “We are providing guarantees to strengthen the industry in the territories and increase money for health ,” said Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos.

Of the total resources transferred during this year, $76,232 million correspond to chance draws , while another $61,343 million were transferred by lotteries . Likewise, transfers from the game called Raspa&Ready amounted to $9,466 million.

On the other hand, the president of Coljuegos reported that, so far this year, the chance game has delivered $238,057 million in prizes to bettors , while lottery prizes worth $94,123 million have fallen . For its part, the Scratch & Ready prizes exceed $29,945 million .

Likewise, in the first quarter of the year, territorial games reached sales for a total of $869,526 million , of which $593,248 million correspond to the sale of chance, $205,755 million to lotteries and $70,522 million to Raspa&Listo.

“We invite all Colombians to play chance, lotteries and Raspa&Listo only at authorized points of sale. Playing legally helps us continue increasing transfers to subsidize the health of low-income citizens ,” Hincapié concluded.
