Thuringia Wins with the Lottery
A year full of moments of happiness!
Did you know that around 38 percent of all LOTTO Thuringia revenue goes to numerous social, sporting, cultural and environmental projects? No? Then stop by one of the around 650 LOTTO acceptance points in Thuringia, where you will find our brand new, free brochure from tomorrow (May 8th). This is full to the brim with exciting topics about LOTTO Thuringia and the common good in our beautiful state.
LOTTO Thuringia has been committed to the common good in the Free State for over 30 years. In order to draw attention to this commitment, the Thuringian State Lottery launched the campaign “THÜRINGIA WINS WITH LOTTO” last year in order to bring this topic more into the public eye. The current brochure is also about presenting the various cultural and social sub-areas (monument protection, nature and environmental protection, popular sports, social issues) as well as the beneficiaries who are supported with funds by LOTTO Thuringia and independently implement a wide variety of projects in the Free State.
Last Saturday (May 4th) the starting signal was given for the second edition of the campaign. As part of the Gothardus Festival in Gotha, Jochen Stashewski, Managing Director of the Thuringian State Lottery, presented the freshly printed image brochure. Together with Finance Minister Heike Taubert, Gotha’s Mayor Knut Kreuch, Ms. Carlotta Schulz (deputy managing director of the Thuringia Nature Conservation Foundation), Mr. Tino Grübel (managing director of the LIGA der Freie Wohlfahrtspflege eV), Mr. Lutz Heitmüller (managing director of the German Foundation for Monument Protection) and Mr Thomas Zirkel (General Manager of the Thuringia State Sports Association) spoke about the importance of supporting the common good in Thuringia and the important role of LOTTO Thuringia in this commitment.
“For over 30 years, the state government has also used proceeds from the state lottery for cultural, social and sporting purposes as well as for the protection of monuments and the environment. I am grateful for this additional revenue in the state budget for the benefit of the general public. In this way, we promote the diversity of the Free State, because Thuringia is lovable and should remain so in the future,” said Finance Minister Heike Taubert.
Because: At LOTTO Thuringia there is no ONE winner. Thuringia always wins with the lottery revenue, even if your numbers are not drawn!
“Promoting the common good is a matter close to the heart for LOTTO Thuringia. In order to continue to make this topic more public and known, we will again be carrying out various advertising campaigns throughout the year,” explained Jochen Stashewski and concluded: “I would like to thank all LOTTO players from the bottom of my heart for their loyalty! All of Thuringia is grateful to you.
