SWEDEN, (August 19, 2024) — In the investigation, it is proposed that it should no longer be allowed to operate casinos in Sweden, that state lotteries should no longer be limited to scratch lotteries, number games and probability games, and that the Gambling Inspectorate should be given new authorization in the area of ​​money laundering.

The Swedish Gaming Authority has no substantive views on the first two proposals, but highlights in its response some consequences of the proposals, including regarding illegal land-based gambling.
