LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (September 12, 2024) — On Aug. 30, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) presented Jordan’s Kwik Stop #64, 19888 Highway 18 E. in Monette, with a $6,000 bonus check for selling the winning $600,000 Natural State Jackpot ticket for the July 10 draw.

A Jonesboro man claimed the $600,000 Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) on July 15. He purchased the winning ticket while working in Monette. Since the announcement of the win, the retailer has seen an increase in visitors seeking to purchase NSJ tickets.

“Everyone that comes in wants the ticket that person won with,” said Cassie Shephard, store manager.

Shephard noted that general lottery ticket sales have also increased, particularly for other draw games like Powerball® and LOTTO.

ASL Director of Sales Mark Hearn presents Jordan’s Kwik Stop #64 in Monette a $6,000 commission check for selling a $600,000 Natural State Jackpot ticket.

“We are happy to present Jordan’s with the commission check for selling the record-breaking Natural State Jackpot ticket,” said Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Executive Director Sharon Strong. “Our lottery retailers are integral to our mission of helping fund scholarships for Arkansas students.”

The lottery has distributed more than 770,000 college scholarships and awarded more than $427 million in retailer commissions since 2009. Retailers receive a 1 percent commission from the sale of winning lottery tickets.
