Penalty payment order imposed on Alimaniere Sociedad de Responsibility
THE HAGUE, Netherlands (November 11, 2024) — The Dutch Gaming Authority (Ksa) is imposing a penalty payment on Alimaniere Sociedad de Responsabilidad for offering illegal games of chance. Dutch players were able to gamble via the website time2spin1.com, without Alimaniere having the required permit. This is prohibited. With the penalty payment order, the Ksa demands that the illegal provider immediately cease and desist from offering its services. If the provider fails to comply, a penalty payment of €140,000 will be imposed, up to a maximum of €420,000.
Initially, the Ksa tracked down the illegal provider in question via its website time2spin.com. Dutch players could gamble there. A re-inspection showed that the website had been made inaccessible with an IP block. However, a new investigation by the Ksa showed that the provider had created a new website, time2spin1.com, from which participation was still possible. The provider is now being given a penalty payment order for that website.
Offering online gambling to players in the Netherlands is only allowed with a license from the Ksa. Strict rules and regulations apply that are aimed at ensuring a safe legal offer, where players are assured of a fair game and are protected against gambling addiction.
