4 – 4 – 4 – 4 Drawn for The First Time, Pays Out Record $8.3 Million to SC PICK 4 Players

COLUMBIA, SC (January 27, 2024) – In a lottery first, 4 – 4 – 4 – 4 was drawn by the South Carolina Education Lottery Friday evening to the delight of a record number of Pick 4 winners.

3,351 winning straight plays won with 4 – 4 – 4 – 4 in the Friday, January 26 evening drawing, resulting in a record Pick 4 prize payout of more than $8.3 million.

Depending on the price paid for the ticket, these Pick 4 winners took home either $2,500 or $5,000 per play.

These winners can either claim their prize by mail or come to the Lottery’s Claims Center in Columbia. Because of the large number of winners, visitors at the Claims Center should expect a long wait on Monday and delays through mid-week. Updates on wait times will be posted at sceducationlottery.com and on the Lottery’s social media channels.

Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing in which to claim their prizes.

The odds of winning Pick 4 with a straight play are 1 in 10,000.
