Income Tax Office & Gambling Division Sign MOU to Foster Greater Collaboration & Tax Regulatory Compliance
Gibraltar (March 7, 2024) — The Income Tax Office and the Gambling Division have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster greater collaboration and tax regulatory compliance.
The partnership aims to improve oversight and streamline key areas of cooperation between the two authorities, including information sharing and enforcement.
This will mean leveraging each other’s expertise and resources to achieve improvements.
Minister for Justice, Trade and Industry Nigel Feetham said the success of national economies and global stability depends on cooperation among nations in areas such as taxation, regulation, and law enforcement.
Likewise, within each jurisdiction, effective collaboration among agencies, authorities and regulators is crucial to safeguarding the jurisdiction’s macroeconomic interests and achieving broader policy aims. He said the signing of this MOU is a significant step forward in that direction.
