Svenska Spel Publishes 2023 Annual Report

SWEDEN, March 22, 2024 — Svenska Spel’s annual report shows that 2023 was characterized by continued great uncertainty in the outside world and the economy.

For the first time since the reregulation in 2019*, turnover on the Swedish gambling market decreased. Under these tougher conditions, Svenska Spel delivered both new gaming experiences to customers, as well as an increase in sustainable gaming and a strong employee experience.

“The Svenska Spel Group made a stable result in 2023, We had growth in two out of three business areas and we reached an operating margin of 29 percent. This is despite Casino Cosmopol’s extensive challenges and major restructuring,” says Erik Strand, president and CEO of Svenska Spel.
