BCLC Launching New Lottery Terminals to Modernize Play
BC, Canada (May 17, 2024) — Beginning May 26, 2024, BCLC will be introducing its new lottery terminals to retail and hospitality locations across the province. The new terminals and related systems will offer players a faster purchasing experience and enhanced functionality.
To prepare for the activation and installation of the new terminals and related systems, BCLC is temporarily pausing sales and validation for lottery products after last draw dates, prior to lottery terminal activation.
National Games
- Daily Grand and Daily Grand Extra sales and validations will stop after 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23.
- Lotto Max and Lotto Max Extra sales and validations will stop after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24.
- Lotto 6/49 and Lotto 6/49 Extra sales and validations will stop after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
Regional Games
- BC/49 and BC/49 Extra sales and validations will stop after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
- BC 50/50 sales and validations will stop at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
- Pacific Hold’Em sales and validations will stop at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
- Keno sales and validations will stop at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
- Sports Action sales and validations will stop at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
- Poker Lotto sales and validations will stop at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
Players will be able to purchase tickets for future draws and validate purchased tickets once the new terminals and system are operational, beginning May 26.
While the new lottery terminals and system are being activated, players should take note of the following:
- Lottery products will be unavailable for purchase in stores, online and on the BCLC! Lotto App.
- Players will be unable to check their tickets until terminal installation and activation is complete.
- Retailers will be unable to pay out prizes. Regional prize payout centres are closed Sundays but will operate during regular operating hours on Monday, May 27. For any questions regarding prize claims, players should contact customer support at 1-866-815-0222.
- Installation of the new terminals and system could take a number of hours. BCLC will share updates with players and retailers.
Poker Lotto and Sports Action will also permanently retire on Saturday, May 25. For updates on BCLC’s new sportsbook launching this summer, please visit the Sports Action website.
