Star Casinos Shut Down Poker Machines Due to a Glitch Following an Upgrade for Cashless Gaming
SYDNEY (Monday July 15, 2024) — The Star Entertainment Group has temporarily shut down its poker machines due to a glitch following an upgrade for cashless gaming.
This decision, aimed at ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting safer gambling, affects all electronic gaming machines and table games at their Sydney, Brisbane, and Gold Coast venues.
Despite the shutdown, these venues remain open, offering table games, restaurants, bars, and entertainment.
The Star is collaborating with their external provider, Konami, to resolve the issues and will update once normal operations resume.
