The Florida Lottery Celebrates Sixth Annual National Lottery Week
Honoring Lottery Contributions and Community Impact
TALLAHASSEE, Florida (July 15, 2024) – The Florida Lottery (Lottery) announces a joint effort with lotteries across North America to commemorate National Lottery Week, which begins today and runs through July 19. This week-long celebration not only recognizes lotteries across the United States but also aims to raise awareness of the positive impact and critical role lotteries play in the communities they serve.
“National Lottery Week is a great opportunity to express our appreciation for our players, retailers, and communities, all of whom contribute to our continued success,” said Florida Lottery Secretary John F. Davis. “From enhancing educational opportunities for students to supporting local businesses and promoting responsible gameplay, our efforts positively impact lives throughout the state. We look forward to continuing our mission and making a lasting difference for all Floridians.”
Throughout this special week, the Florida Lottery will spotlight its community contributions, focusing on educational support, recognizing our dedicated retailers, celebrating winners, encouraging responsible gameplay, and highlighting the economic benefits the Lottery brings to Florida.
We will celebrate our appreciation of our lottery players with a social media trivia giveaway! From July 15 to July 22, 2024, the Florida Lottery will post trivia questions on Facebook. Players can answer these questions in the comments section below the question. Three winners who correctly answer the trivia questions will receive $200 in home improvement gift cards. To enter, comment with your answer by 11:59 p.m. EST on July 22, 2024. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and live in Florida. Winners will be announced on July 23, 2024.
