CYPRUS (August 7, 2024) — According to local media reports the National Betting Authority has announced a week-long campaign for safe gambling, scheduled to take place from October 7-13. The campaign, with the motto ‘Safety is the true hero in every game,’ aims to educate the public about the risks associated with gambling and provide resources for those who may need help managing their gambling habits.

During the campaign, a variety of activities will be offered, including presentations, educational seminars, hands-on workshops, and interactive games. These events are designed to promote safe gambling practices and inform the public on how to avoid the harmful consequences of gambling.

Ioanna Fiakkou, the Chairwoman of the Betting Authority, expressed her satisfaction with the increasing public participation in these activities each year.
