Sports Bet Montana Pays Out Nearly $900K for the Week Ending May 13

HELENA, Montana (May 16, 2023) – The Montana Lottery today released sports wagering data for the week ending May 13:

• Handle: $1,120,483
• Payout: $898,892
• Gross Gaming Revenue: $221,591
• Sales Agent Commissions: $33,600

The top three sports by percent of total handle were:

• Basketball (40%)
• Baseball (36%)
• Hockey (12%)

The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
